V-Strom Passenger Backrest Installation Using a Sampson ST1100 passenger backrest If you have a Givi mount
From a customer:
"Awhile back you asked for some pics of my backrest installation and I finally got around to building it.
To install your backrest on a Givi topcase mount, I cut a 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" piece of steel, tapped (2) 1/4 20 holes and then welded nuts on the bottom for extra strength. This I attached to the bottom of the Givi mount with (2) 10-32 bolts threaded into tapped holes in my mount. Now your backrest can be mounted and removed by simply taking out (2) 1/4" bolts without having to undo anything else. It's a sweet setup."
Normally we attribute those that submit ideas but the rider asked us not to.
