The Hyper-Lite is a device to warn drivers of a stopping motorcyclist ahead. Extra lights flash in addition to the regular stoplight. Driver awareness to a stopping or stopped motorcycle is greatly improved. Driver response is quick and they tend to tail and stop with a greater safety margin.
When the motorcycle's brakes are applied, new Super Bright Light Emitting Diodes (LED)
solid state lights flash to draw attention
to the stopping cyclist. A recent innovation is the SELECTABLE FLASHER which allows the installer to choose between continuous flashing, or five second flashing then solid modes.
Hyperlights are superbright LEDs and a state of the art flasher set in epoxy, then encased in ABS plastic. They are impervious to vibration and weather. |
Key Benefits
- Improved
Safety
- Increased
Awareness by Tailing Drivers
- Fits
Most Motorcycles
- Easy mount; uses super strength double stick tape
|
Small Size - Low Current Draw These are small which makes them very easy to mount yet really show up well whether at night or in bad weather
- The standard Hyper-Lite dimensions are approximately 1.5" long (38 mm) x .5" (12 mm) wide x .75" (18 mm) high
- The 3-Way dimensions are approximately 3" (75 mm) long x .5" (12 mm) wide x .75" (18 mm) high
LEDs use very little electricity and are very reliable. The standard Hyper-Lites use less than 0.3 amps of current. |
| Our Kits are designed to allow quick and simple installation on most motorcycles with 12 volt electrical systems. Most kits fitting BMWs do not require any cutting, crimping or splicing of wires. |
There are two flasher options available for Hyper-Lites as well as non-flashing.
The standard kit contains a selectable flasher and it may be left as is for continuously flashing lights or by snipping a green wire loop on the flasher, convert to a system which allows the lights to flash for 5 seconds then goes solid.
The latest innovation is the Dual Function flasher. The Dual Function turns Hyper-Lites into running lights (at a reduced intensity) until the brakes are applied. The LEDs then flash at their normal (very bright) intensity.

From some emails we've received, we have to agree it's easy to get confused as it seems there's a whole lot of styles (there are!!).
Breaking these down into simple terms, they are all based on only 3 types.
- A module that is connected as a stop or auxiliary light
- A flashing stop light (like the flashing photo above)
- A combination unit ("Dual Function") that operates as extra running lights, then goes to flashing and brighter when the brakes are applied.
What's a module?
A module is "X" number of LEDs in a sealed unit.
For example: A "Universal" has 2 modules, each module has 2 rows of 4 LEDs. (the flashing photo above is a "Universal" mounted on our license plate bracket)
A "U32" has 2 modules, each module has 2 rows of 8 LEDs. |
