Chloride, Arizona Why Chloride? Very simply, we got tired of the metropolitan Los Angeles area. We started looking in 2002 for a place that was friendly to small business, didn't have massive traffic congestion and wasn't in a heavy weather area. We moved here in 2003 and haven't regretted it. We get 1-2 inches of snow in the Winter and the high in the Summer gets about 90-95 degrees. This is a "ghost town" except for the fact that about 150 people live here. It used to be a Silver mining area before the turn of the century and up to about 1940. Where is it located? Chloride is 4 miles off US 93 about 25 miles North of Kingman, AZ or about 45 miles South of Hoover Dam, and about 90 miles South of Las Vegas.
