Our backrest mount allows height adjustment and your choice of two pads. (see below)

Our pads are considerably larger than the stock pad and allow your passenger more comfort. The stock Kawasasaki Concours pad does NOT fit without modifying our backrest mount .

The lower "U" shaped piece shown in the photos above is not included. It is Kawasaki accessory "Backrest/Rear Rack Adapter" (part # K53021-083A) which the backrest mount bolts to. It is available thru Kawasaki dealers & sometimes on Ebay or the COG list.

If you bought your Concours used and aren't sure if you have the "Backrest/Rear Rack Adapter" or not, look at the rear of the passenger grab rails. Is there a forged-looking piece attached around the rear of the passenger grab rail which then goes beyond and slightly above the end of the passenger part of the seat and then attaches to the rear of the passenger grab rail on the other side? If so, its already installed. The piece we're referencing has 2 countersunk holes in it right behind the passengers butt.

The Kawasaki accessory pad does not work with our mount.
